PRACTICAL TRAINING OF STUDENTS

The basis for the consolidation of theoretical knowledge among students in the educational programs 6B07329 – “Design of buildings and structures” and 6B07252 – “Engineering systems and networks” of the Faculty of Architecture and Construction is practical training. Practical training of students is a mandatory part of the educational process and aims to prepare students for industrial activities. The objectives of the practice are the acquisition of practical skills, the consolidation of theoretical knowledge, the acquisition of professional skills and abilities, the acquisition of organizational skills in a team.

In the course of training, students, in accordance with the state mandatory standards of education, undergo various types of professional practices: industrial, pre-graduate pedagogical, research and others.

The aim of the training practice is to acquaint the student with the basics of future professional activity, to obtain information about the specifics of the chosen training area, and the functions and tasks of future professional activity. The educational practice is conducted at 1 and 2 courses under the guidance of the relevant departments in training workshops, laboratories, training grounds, clinics, other training and support units of the university, as well as in organizations corresponding to future professional activities.

The curriculum of educational and training and educational practices has been developed and is available at the departments. The production practice is organized on the 3rd and 4th courses after the completion of the study of the cycle of special disciplines, for which the production practice is provided. The program of industrial practice is developed and approved by the issuing departments. The bases of industrial practice are the organizations corresponding to the profile of the specialty being trained.

The teaching staff of the Department of "Construction" and the management of the faculty are systematically working to expand the practice bases.

The types, terms and content of professional practice are determined by the direction of training, specialty, work curricula, schedules of the educational process and practice programs.

In addition to the main bases of practice, a number of students are sent to practice under tripartite contracts in organizations that are in dire need of engineering and technical workers.

The internship programs were developed by the departments taking into account the profile of the specialty, the nature of the enterprise, institution, organization – the object of practice and approved by the dean of the faculty.

Meetings with employers, round tables, scientific seminars are held at the department and faculty. Monitoring of graduates of the department is constantly carried out. Together with the university, faculty and department, job fairs and the distribution of graduates to their places of work are held. All data on the employment of graduates are periodically entered into the electronic database of AIS Platonus.
